Discover the ZweiTälerLand region in the Elztal and Simonswäldertal valleys with your group. A qualified tour guide will accompany you from your hotel in the Black Forest. Whether it’s organ building, historic workshops, or a nature tour: we’ll put together a day tailored to your interests from the available stops.
In the ZweiTälerLand region, you can explore local crafts in the very places where their history is still visible. In Waldkirch, organ building and gemstone cutting take center stage; in Simonswald, an oil mill and a village museum are worth visiting.
These stops are suggestions, not a set daily itinerary. Please let us know what your group is particularly interested in. We’ll coordinate the selection and schedule with you and check which visits are available on your desired date. A guided tour of Freiburg can also be part of the program.
One possible highlight begins in Waldkirch. The Elztal Museum and other museums in the region showcase, among other things, local history and organ building. During a possible tour of the historic Wintermantel gem-cutting workshop, you’ll learn about another of Waldkirch’s traditional crafts.
In the Simonswäldertal valley, the historic oil mill and the Jockenhof village museum can round out the day. Here, the focus is on traditional working methods and life in the region. A craft beer tasting is another possible activity that we can arrange upon request.
Would your group prefer to get around on foot or by bike? You can also request a guided hiking or biking tour. As a cultural alternative, consider the architectural tour of Gutach im Breisgau. We’ll plan these activities to fit your available time and confirm the details in advance.
This offer is aimed at tour groups, clubs, companies, and private groups who would like to plan a day together in the Black Forest. Since you have a say in the focus of the trip, the excursion can be geared more toward crafts and museums or toward physical activities.
