The Black Forest Guided Tour is a full-day program for all guests who wish to explore the beauty and distinctive cultural landscape of the Black Forest. On this page, we’ll introduce you to possible destinations in the Black Forest. We’ll create a personalized itinerary for your tour group, “tailored” to your specific wishes. Upon request, the Black Forest Guided Tour is also available as a half-day option. The price of €299 applies to an eight-hour full-day guided tour. Any museum admission fees, etc., are not included.
Stretching over 150 km from north to south, the Black Forest is not only Germany’s largest forested area, but also offers a wealth of tourist attractions. In the Southern Black Forest, visitors are drawn not only to the Black Forest’s highest peak, the Feldberg, but also to picturesque landscapes such as the Wutach Gorge. Short hikes here can easily be combined with a visit to a schnapps distillery. Further north in the Upper Black Forest, you’ll find world-famous attractions such as the Triberg Waterfalls, Germany’s highest waterfalls. The Black Forest’s museum scene is also diverse and fascinating. At the Vogtsbauernhof Open-Air Museum, you can experience firsthand the houses and living conditions of bygone eras from all parts of the Black Forest. In the Black Forest’s diverse landscape, it’s easy—with a Black Forest tour guide—to combine cultural excursions with culinary highlights and relaxing activities, such as a boat ride on Lake Titisee or a hearty snack featuring Black Forest ham, into a harmonious day trip.
Many ancient and time-honored crafts have also been practiced in the Black Forest for a long time. A world-famous example of this is, of course, the cuckoo clock, but traditional woodcarving, glassblowing, jewelry making, and much more are also waiting to be discovered in the Black Forest, as is the legacy of the now-defunct mining industry, which can still be experienced in many visitor mines. The large monastery complexes at St. Trudpert, Alpirsbach, St. Blasien, Hirsau, and St. Peter still stand as impressive testaments today—on the one hand, to the early settlement of the Black Forest, and on the other, to the cultural and financial wealth of the Church in the region. And the beautiful old town centers of Gengenbach, Schiltach, and many other small towns also invite you to visit. The possibilities for a guided tour of the Black Forest are virtually endless, and we’d be happy to advise you on putting together the right itinerary for you. With tour guides arranged by Freiburg Kultour, you’ll get to know and love the Black Forest!
On a guided tour of the Black Forest, you’ll discover Germany’s most beautiful low mountain range.
